Led by Guru Dipti Mallik. Classical Odissi for every age — across the Bay Area and online.
One of India's oldest classical dance forms, born in the temples of Odisha. Every posture echoes ancient stone — the tribhanga curve, the precise feet, the eloquent hands.
At NrityaTara it is passed on the old way: guru to student, with patience and care.
Trained from the age of five by Gurus Ramani Ranjan Jena and Raghunath Dutta, with more than thirty-five years in Odissi. A Kalashree Awardee and visiting professor at UC Santa Cruz, she founded NrityaTara in 2012 to pass the tradition on to the Bay Area's next generation.
